On Saturday, August 17th, the CARE Center was honored to participate in the annual Head Start Daddy & Me event at the Miami Children’s Museum. This joyful occasion, dedicated to celebrating the special bond between fathers and their children, provided a lively and engaging environment where families could connect, learn, and enjoy quality time together.
The event, from 10 AM to 1 PM, allowed the CARE Center team to share valuable resources and raise awareness about our mental health services. We highlighted the importance of mental health in fostering strong family relationships, especially the crucial role fathers play in their children’s emotional well-being. Our booth featured information about our various counseling services, including individual, family, and couples therapy, available both in-person and online.
In addition to sharing information, we handed out flyers outlining our services to attendees and handed out small giveaways, including school materials and candies, to engage the children. We were delighted to connect with many families by offering support and guidance on mental health issues impacting family dynamics.
The Head Start program ensured that everyone enjoyed the event by providing food and drinks to all attendees, contributing to the welcoming and festive atmosphere. With over 200+ participants, the Daddy & Me event was a tremendous success, bringing together fathers and their children for fun, learning, and bonding. The CARE Center remains committed to supporting the community with accessible mental health services, and we are optimistic about the future as we continue our mission of helping families thrive!
