On Thursday, August 1st, the CARE Center joyfully participated in the Back 2 School Resource Fair hosted by Sant La Haitian Neighborhood Center in North Miami. This vibrant event, held from 2 PM to 5 PM, was a celebration of support for families and students gearing up for the upcoming school year, filled with excitement and positive energy.
At our booth, the CARE Center team focused on providing valuable resources to the community, particularly emphasizing mental health awareness and the comprehensive services we offer. Mental health is a crucial component of overall well-being, especially as students and families navigate the challenges of a new academic year.
In addition to spreading awareness about mental health, our team engaged with the community by distributing flyers detailing our services and providing fun and practical giveaways. Children and their families were delighted to receive candies, school materials, and, most notably, backpacks filled with essential school supplies. We also offered food to ensure everyone enjoyed a well-rounded experience during the event.
The Back 2 School Resource Fair was a resounding success. Over 15 vendors offered a variety of services, including free physicals and refreshments. The lively atmosphere, complemented by music and a community spirit, made this event an excellent opportunity for the CARE Center to connect with families and reinforce our commitment to their mental and emotional health.
As we continue to serve the community, we want you to know that your well-being is our top priority. We are dedicated to providing accessible and effective mental health services. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you or someone you know could benefit from our counseling programs. Mental health matters and the CARE Center is here to help.
